Los Angeles Style Salsa

Espinoza and Edie "The Salsa Freak"
Video Review - Salsa instructional videos available in both
VHS and DVD. Learn step-by-step the lead and follow of dance,
tension and connection, salsa with Hip-Hop shines, cool
solo styling techniques, and many partnering moves. Al and
Edie's Dips, Tricks, and Lifts Video contains the moves
that are definite crowd pleasers. For ladies, this is the
best styling video (in my opinion). Edie not only explains
spot turns, and pivots for the ladies, but also the partnering
aspect of starting, controlling, and stopping spins.

Video Review - One of the top salsa videos on the market!
This is a great buy for beginners and intermediate dancers
to quickly learn cool salsa combinations and start dancing
right away! The videos are through and very easy to follow.
New York/Puerto-Rican Style Salsa
1. The Razz
M' Tazz Dance Company
Video Review - Learn salsa "on the 2" by one of
the best in New York, Angel and Addie Rodriguez! They have
been training salseros since 1986 and their videos are full
of intricate salsa combinations along with the styling that
makes dancing "on 2" so unique. In my opinion,
this is the best videos to learn NY style salsa for those
dancers unaccustomed to dancing on the 2.
Miami Style Salsa (Casino Rueda)
1. Latin Heat's
Salsa: Casino Rueda
Video Review - Luz Pinto, director of the Latin Heat Dance
Studio, teaches the basics of Casino Rueda. This is my recommendation
for the beginner because she is excellent at breaking down
the steps with an easy-to-learn format. The video is full
of basic moves and will help give a firm foundation and
understanding to the Casino Rueda. When I first started
to learn Casino style, this was my #1 reference. Grab a
few friends, share the costs, and start dancing Casino Rueda
style!
2. Salsa
Lover's Casino Rueda Videos
Video Review - Rene Gueits is the director of the Salsa
Lover's Dance Studio, the most widely known salsa school
in Miami, Florida. He is responsible for the explosion of
Casino Rueda all over the Miami salsa scene! Salsa Lover's
sets the standard in Miami and they have trained over 22,000
students! The video contains all the popular turns, their
names, and hand signals. Each video is packed with moves
and complicated turn combinations. I highly recommend these
videos for the intermediate and advanced dancers. It might
be too hard for someone with little or no experience in
salsa. Caution: The combinations can get extremely complicated
as you progress through each level!
Cuban Style Salsa

Video Review - This is not an instructional video, but it
features dancers from Cuba demonstrating the unique Cuban
salsa style. I recommend this video for intermediate and
advanced dancers only! You can learn some interesting moves,
tricks, and styles from watching these advanced Cuban dancers.

Cool Moves Revealed
Video Review - Eric Freeman, salsa instructor in Boulder,
Colorado, demonstrates 50 distinct salsa combinations. He
has a unique Cuban style that mixes all the different salsa
styles into one. I highly recommend this video for beginners
and intermediate! Eric Freeman is excellent at breaking
down the steps. The moves are flashy and easy to learn.
This is a great way to get good very fast!
World Salsa Congresses
These videos capture and fun and excitement of the world's
largest salsa congress.

World Salsa Congress
Video Review - These are not instructional videos, but they
have all the performances from the top salsa dance teams
all over the world! They are very entertaining to watch
and are loaded with the latest tricks and performance moves.
I highly recommend any of these for all dancers (beginner
to advanced). It'll give you some new ideas.
